A meeting to sum up the results of the second competition held by the Presidential Foundation for Nature took place at the site of the Primeval Russia festival, which received support following the first competition.

The winners will receive presidential grants totalling one billion rubles to implement 157 projects developed by ecologists, biologists, and specialists working in protected natural areas.

The supported initiatives are scheduled to launch on March 1, 2026, and encompass activities across 37 nature reserves, 24 national parks, and 45 other specially protected natural territories.

At the meeting, the committee also approved the regulations governing the 2027 competition. Applications will be accepted on September 1–30, 2026.

The Presidential Nature Fund was established on March 3, 2025. During its first year of operation, the fund has already held two competitions, allocating a total of two billion rubles to support 321 environmental and conservation projects.
