The seminar meetings are being held upon the instruction of Vladimir Putin in each federal district.
The meeting was attended by regional heads, deputy governors, and representatives of regional authorities, expert communities, and civil society organisations, as well as members of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations.
Speaking at the session, Magomedsalam Magomedov emphasised that, despite significant pressure in this sphere, the interethnic relations in Russia are assessed as stable.
“At the same time, it is fundamentally important to implement a proactive model of work in the information environment. It is necessary to not only respond to negative developments, but also to shape a positive agenda, to engage more actively with young people, opinion leaders, and ethnic cultural associations. These efforts are facilitated by a set of events announced by the President for 2026 as Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia. This major initiative of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations is of strategic importance for the country’s future and for strengthening the Russian nation,” the Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office noted.
Participants in the meeting discussed urgent issues of interethnic relations and the situation in each region of the district. The main emphasis was placed on implementing the President’s instructions aimed at improving the state national policy effectiveness locally.
Relevant decisions have been adopted following the meeting.
