The Agreement was concluded between the governments of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation and signed in Moscow on December 9, 2010.
The Agreement is aimed at harmonising the regulatory principles for the protection of intellectual property and means of individualisation of goods and services that are protected by national legislation of the states parties to the Agreement.
The Agreement also provides for the establishment of the permanent Coordinating Council of the Common Economic Space for intellectual property, which will be engaged in regular coordination and cooperation in information and technology between various agencies of the states parties to the Agreement involved in protecting intellectual property.
