The message reads, in part:
“On the eve of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence, I would like to highlight the republic’s major achievements in state building and socioeconomic development, education, science and culture, and in strengthening its international standing.
Today, the strategic partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan sets the dynamic pace of integration processes and contributes to further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation. We have already achieved significant results by coordinating our efforts. The Customs Union is operating successfully and Common Economic Space will begin to fully function in the near future. Our next challenge is to reach an even higher level of integration by establishing a Eurasian Economic Union. The new association will create new opportunities for effective cooperation in technology, modernisation, innovation, science and education.
Moscow State University’s branch in Kazakhstan, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, plays a major role in our educational ties. Its team is making a significant contribution to strengthening friendship and trust between our nations and successfully tackles the task of training highly qualified personnel.
I hope that by the proposals and recommendations put forward during the forum will further promote cooperation and dialogue between Russia and Kazakhstan.”
