The heads of state discussed cooperation between their two countries in the energy sector, the prospects for increasing trade, and cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres.
Kurmanbek Bakiyev thanked Dmitry Medvedev for Russia's support and assistance following the earthquake in the South of Kyrgyzstan.
For his part, the President of Russia once again expressed his condolences in connection with the tragedy, stressing that if necessary additional assistance will be provided.
Following the talks several bilateral documents, including a Joint Statement by the Presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, were signed.

A protocol on cooperation in the mining industry with the participation of Russian capital and the Russian financial sector has been signed.
A ceremony honouring Gazprom's transfer of 15 UAZ ambulances to Kyrgyzstan took place in the presence of Dmitry Medvedev and Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
The President of Kyrgyzstan said that all the new off-road vehicles will be sent to the country's mountainous areas which are difficult to access.
