In the course of today’s meetings with heads of the Federal Security Service and the Interior Ministry, the President heard reports on measures taken to step up security following the terrorist acts in Volgograd.
Mr Bortnikov and Mr Kolokoltsev briefed the President about the operations conducted the day before and today by the Federal Security Service and the Interior Ministry in Daghestan and Stavropol territory, which resulted in elimination of several terrorists.
Also, Vladimir Putin received detailed information on the investigation into the terrorist acts.
The President instructed the Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov to fly to Volgograd.
