Addressing the meeting, Mr Medvedev said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ top priorities are to increase the number of crimes solved, combat extremism, in particular in the North Caucasus, address problems connected to illegal economic immigration, fight corruption, and protect citizens, above all children and teenagers.
The President also addressed the issues of the ministry’s material resource base, widespread use of new information technology in its work, and social protection for ministry employees.
