The Russian head of state said that the two leaders had many things to discuss, but the key issue was the creation of a Common Economic Space (CES). Both sides stressed that bilateral relations were developing very successfully in all areas, both in economics and politics.
On the issue of border demarcation, the Russian President said that in spite of some technical problems work in this area was proceeding normally and would surely produce agreements acceptable for both sides.
The meeting also discussed cooperation with the WTO, including within the European Economic Space, the preparation for the SCO Summit due on June 17, the problems of the Caspian sea and interaction in the Central Asian Region.
Bilateral relations were also touched upon, including the broadening of cooperation in the fuel and energy sphere and the schedule of future political contacts.
