The most promising areas for more intensive cooperation include the aircraft-building sector and the energy and space sectors as well as greater military-technical cooperation, President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following Russian-Brazilian talks.
In a joint declaration, Mr Putin and Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva expressed their desire to give Russian-Brazilian cooperation in space a strategic, dynamic and innovative character.
The two Presidents noted that the memorandum of understanding signed between the Russian Federal Space Agency and the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology will provide a political, legal and organisational foundation for carrying out concrete programmes and projects at the forefront of space technology.
