Meeting with Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Mikhail Dmitriyev.
Russia earned $6 billion in revenue from arms sales in 2004.
Mr Dmitriyev said that Russia is expanding the number of countries to whom it exports.
At the same time, there were cases when proposals made by foreign companies were turned down, after consultation with the Defence Ministry and Foreign Ministry, on the grounds that arms sales could destabilise the situation in the regions concerned. Mr Dmitriyev said that his agency complies strictly with all international commitments related to military-technical cooperation.
Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov took part in the meeting.
