The heads of state discussed issues involving pan-European stability, including the Russian initiative to develop a treaty on European security.
They also discussed practical issues of improving the legal framework of bilateral cooperation in trade, tourism, investment, as well as cooperation in the military, technical, inter-regional, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The impact of the global financial crisis on trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries was also discussed.
