The meeting discussed preparations for celebrating the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War and also support measures for veterans.
Among the main subjects discussed at the meeting were the introduction of monthly payments to war veterans and others entitled to the same status, efforts to track down veterans who for whatever reason have still not received awards, financing events to celebrate the 60th anniversary of victory, and organising the participation of foreign guests in the celebration events.
