During talks with Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmonov, the situation in Kyrgyzstan was discussed, among other things. At a press conference held at the end of talks, Vladimir Putin said he hoped that the situation in Kyrgyzstan would be soon stabilised and that bodies of power and administration would be legitimatized.
Russia is in contact with the Kyrgyzstan parliament, as well as with other colleagues who are involved in the normalisation process, and is prepared to provide any help it can to stabilise the situation in the republic.
The Russian President noted that if the internal political process connected to Presidential elections is completed in Kyrgyzstan by July 2005, then the meeting of heads of states of the Central Asian Cooperation Organisation will be held as planned in Bishkek.
