The German side was represented by Berthold Kohler, the publisher of the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeiner Zetiung, Hans Werner Kilz, the editor of Suddeutsche Zeitung, Kai Diekmann, publisher and editor of the newspaper Bild, Giovanni di Lorenzo, editor of the newspaper Die Zeit, Steffen Klusmann, editor of the newspaper Financial Times Deutschland, Bernd Mutzelburg, chancellor advisor on issues of foreign policy and security, and Bela Anda, the FRG governmental representative for public relations.
