Mr Yakunin informed the President about international cooperation activities aimed at harmonising relations with railway operators in Western Europe in order to create a united transport system.
The meeting discussed in particular the results of talks with the heads of Deutsche Bahn and Siemens.
Mr Yakunin also reported on agreements reached on a project for opening up railway through traffic via Abkhazia.
