President Vladimir Putin visited the new Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

Visiting the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

Mr Putin said he was sure that the cathedral would become not just a centre of Orthodox Christianity in Kaliningrad and the Kaliningrad Region, but also a spiritual centre that would promote friendship and understanding throughout the Baltic region in Europe.
