Mr Putin visited the Kurgan Regional Clinical Hospital and spoke with medical personnel and patients there.
Staff demonstrated for the President a digital radio communications system that tracks the location of ambulances and children’s ambulances and makes it possible to contact federal medical centres in real time to receive operational consultations on diagnosis and medical assistance.
Mr Putin then visited the ‘Surgeon Nikolai Pirogov’ Mobile Consultation and Diagnostic Centre, at which patients complete a full medical check up process from registration through to receiving a medical report on their state of health and advice on the best course of treatment to follow.
During the visit to the centre, located in a train, the President saw a demonstration of the telecommunications centre’s capabilities and visited the laboratory, where all necessary analyses, including biochemical analyses, can be carried out.
Mr Putin also visited an exhibition of mobile medical equipment and inspected a diagnostic complex and mobile telemedicine laboratory, designed for carrying out telemedicine consultations for people living in remote areas.
The President saw a demonstration of a mobile diagnosis facility installed in a KAMAZ vehicle, where a patient can receive a full medical check up in 20 minutes, and a working module installed in a bus, providing a number of social services including a hairdresser’s, doctor’s office, pharmacy and social worker’s office.
Mr Putin also held a working meeting with Governor of Kurgan Region Oleg Bogomolov.
