The two heads of state answered journalists questions’ concerning Russian-German relations and also key issues in the international agenda. In particular they discussed the situation in Iraq and the North Korean nuclear programme.
In addition, Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel answered questions concerning the murder of Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaia and the development of civil society in Russia.
They also touched on various aspects of economic cooperation.
