President Vladimir Putin presented state awards to academics, cultural figures and servicemen

The Kremlin, Moscow
State awards ceremony. For showing proof of courage and heroism while testing aviation equipment, test pilot Aleksandr Klimov received the title of Hero of Russia.
State awards ceremony. For her outstanding contribution to developing Russian and international choreography and for her many years of creative activity, ballerina Maia Plisetskaia received the Order for Services to the Fatherland first degree.
State awards ceremony. For his enormous personal contribution to developing spiritual and cultural traditions and strengthening friendship between peoples, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad received the Order for Services to the Fatherland second degree.
State awards ceremony. Pervyi Kanal television announcer Igor Kirillov received the Order for Services to the Fatherland fourth degree.

The President presented state awards to 46 outstanding Russian citizens.

In addition, four citizens were presented with certificates conferring them honorary titles.

In keeping with tradition, the ceremony was held in the Catherine Hall in the Moscow Kremlin.
