The acting president watched the launch of a ballistic missile from the nuclear missile submarine Borisoglebsk, as well as missile and artillery fire from the flagship Pyotr Veliky, a heavy nuclear missile cruiser.
At the second stage of the exercise, a group of Northern Fleet warships consisting of the missile cruisers Pyotr Veliky and the Marshal Ustinov, and the large multirole destroyer Admiral Chabanenko took part in a missile- and artillery-firing exercise.
