They discussed the development of their countries' bilateral relations and the results of President Putin's talks with Australian Prime Minister John Howard.
In particular, Vladimir Putin emphasised the impressive development of Russian-Australian relations in the political, cultural and educational spheres, the increase in trade and the volume of investments.
