The Agreement was signed in Minsk on October 10, 2014.
The Eurasian Economic Community ceased its activities after achieving the aims and objectives set forth at its creation and following the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union in Astana on May 29, 2014.
Under the Agreement, the activities of the EurAsEC and its bodies are terminated as of January 1, 2015.
The Agreement sets forth that the measures to terminate the EurAsEC bodies’ activities are defined in a decision of the EurAsEC Interstate Council.
The function of depositary for the international treaties and agreements comprising EurAsEC’s legal base, the Agreement, the decisions of the integration directorate’s bodies, to which EurAsEC bodies are the successors, and the decisions of EurAsEC’s bodies is transferred as from January 1, 2015, from the EurAsEC Integration Committee to the Russian Federation Foreign Ministry.
