The meeting will take place in the run-up to the annual meeting of the SCO member states’ security councils, during which they will discuss issues concerning security in the SCO region.
It is tradition for the head of state of the country holding the SCO’s rotating presidency to meet with the secretaries of the member countries’ security councils before the SCO Council of Heads of State summit. For the first time, the SCO observer states – Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Belarus – will also take part in the meeting.
