In his message, the President of Russia noted that the Union State, whose formation began two decades ago, has withstood the test of time. The implementation of this large-scale integration project has significantly consolidated mutually beneficial bilateral ties between Russia and Belarus, resulting in valuable experience, which has come in useful during the creation of broader integration structures on the post-Soviet space.
Vladimir Putin stressed the interest in further improving the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that there will be even more efficient coordination of efforts in the defence, foreign policy, economic, social and humanitarian spheres, for the benefit of the two fraternal nations and with the aim of strengthening regional security and stability.
