The message reads, in part:
“This creative forum has deservedly become part of a series of impressive and ambitious cultural events. It brings together enthusiastic people and serves to promote enlightenment, charity and patronage while boosting people’s moral and spiritual values. It is encouraging that every year the festival’s organisers expand its programme and geography, involving an even greater number of participants, including those from abroad.
Dedicating each festival to one of the many important pages in the history of Russian art and to the life’s work of a prominent musician has become an excellent tradition. This year, the festival’s programme is timed to coincide with the 135th birthday of Igor Stravinsky. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a considerable contribution to the preservation and further promotion of the legacy of this great composer, conductor and pianist.”
