The general economic situation in the country, the employment situation in the Caucasus, and Ingushetia’s socio-economic development were the subjects on the agenda.
Ms Nabiullina briefed the President on a programme the Government has drafted for Ingushetia’s social and economic development over 2010–2016. A total of 29 billion rubles [around $1 billion] in federal budget funds are being allocated to the programme.
Mr Medvedev said that Ingushetia’s president, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, must get maximum assistance in building up the republic’s economy, and instructed Ms Nabiullina to work together with regional authorities and the Prosecutor’s Office to monitor the programme’s implementation and keep check on how the allocated funds are being spent.
