The message reads, in part:
“It is symbolic that this forum is taking place ahead of the Day of Unity between the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, our common holiday embodying the centuries-old bonds of fraternal friendship between the Russians and Belarusians and the spiritual values that unite them.
Relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are of a special, truly allied nature, and scientific and technological cooperation is by tradition an important component. Recently, much has been done in this area: combined research teams operate effectively; promising joint research projects are being developed; leading academic centres systematically exchange professional expertise.
It is important that an increasing number of young scientists from both countries – those who will determine the future of Russian and Belarusian science for decades to come – are being involved in partner collaboration.
The Congress participants – young physicists and chemists, doctors and physiologists, experts on digital technologies and artificial intelligence – will discuss the latest advances in their professional areas, share best practices, and map out ways of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. I am confident that your meetings will be informative and constructive and that the proposals and initiatives generated by the Congress will be implemented for the benefit of the peoples of Russia and Belarus and in the interests of strengthening the scientific and technological sovereignty of the Union State.”
