On October 5, the President of Russia and Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina will take part, via videoconference, in a ceremony to mark the delivery of Russian-made nuclear fuel to the first power unit of the Rooppur nuclear power plant in Bangladesh. The State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom is building the plant under an intergovernmental agreement signed in 2011. The new facility will include two reactors with a total capacity of 2,400 megawatts.
In addition, Vladimir Putin will speak at the plenary session of the 20th annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club themed “Fair multipolarity: How to ensure security and development for everyone.”
