The message reads, in part:

Moscow State University has always been and will remain the flagship of higher education in Russia, embodying its best traditions, constantly improving and reaching new heights. It is one of the symbols of Russia, enjoying well-deserved respect, influence and recognition around the world.
The university is especially proud of its faculty – its eminent professors, research supervisors, and mentors with the highest qualifications. They have fostered a whole galaxy of outstanding scientists and scholars, cultural figures, politicians, diplomats, soldiers and other workers who have made an invaluable contribution to making our Motherland greater and stronger.
I am confident that this university will continue to be a leader as long as its staff cherishes the rich heritage of their predecessors, continues to develop advanced curricula and research programmes, and implements promising international projects. Its alumni will further explore new horizons, achieve success in their careers and benefit the nation.”
