The leaders discussed the results of Alexander Lukashenko's recent official visit to Russia, hailing the talks as constructive and substantive. The decisions made, as well as the sizeable package of bilateral agreements signed will undoubtedly give a significant boost to the further strengthening of the mutually beneficial relations between Russia and Belarus and the deepening of integration within the Union State.
The presidents discussed the development of the situation surrounding Ukraine, and in that regard, Vladimir Putin shared his assessment of the dialogue held between Russia and the United States at various levels.
Issues pertaining to the upcoming celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union, the chairmanship of which Belarus is holding this year, were also addressed.
The leaders will be in close contact on all the aforementioned topics.
