The message reads, in part:
“Azerbaijan’s political, social and economic, and cultural achievements are developing the country’s potential and strengthening its influence in regional and international affairs.
Our countries share longstanding traditions of friendship and good-neighbourly relations. Our peoples have gone through many difficult times together and fought shoulder to shoulder against Nazism. The participation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the parade in Moscow celebrating the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was a vivid demonstration of the respect you have for our common history.
Developing the strategic partnership between our two countries will play an important part today in ensuring stability and security in our region. Carrying out mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation projects and building up our humanitarian ties will contribute to this partnership. I am sure that our joint efforts to expand our fruitful cooperation fully meet the interests of both peoples.
Mr President, I wish good health and success, and I wish the people of Azerbaijan peace, prosperity and wellbeing.”
