Visit to Future Technologies Forum exhibition

At the venue of the Future Technologies Forum in the World Trade Centre, Vladimir Putin toured an exhibition showcasing developments and the latest innovative solutions in the bioeconomy.

The President examined the stands of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Kurchatov Institute, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, Gazprombank, the Russian Science Foundation, Tatneft, and Rosatom.

At the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the President was shown Russia’s first portable genetic code reader, the Nanoporus, a device that can be used in medicine, ecology, and agriculture.

The Kurchatov Institute presented a project for a bio-eco community with a small nuclear power plant and a model of a bioreactive system for carbon dioxide recycling to create closed life-support systems.

At the stand of the Russian Science Foundation, Vladimir Putin was shown the world’s only plant-based platform for developing antiviral vaccines.

The Federal Medical-Biological Agency showcased its developments in vaccination, including the world’s first genetically engineered vaccine against birch pollen allergy, the Allergarda, and a personalised vaccine for treating colorectal cancer, as well as the achievements of the Centre for Cybernetic Medicine and Neuroprosthetics.

Gazprombank demonstrated biotechnological solutions for agricultural development. A domestic chamber for accelerated plant breeding enables the cultivation of crops two to four times faster.

Tatneft has designed and created an eco-community in Tatarstan – the village of Aktyubinsky – where the principle of closed-cycle waste-to-resource conversion has been implemented. This is a universal solution, ready to be scaled up in any region of the country.

State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom presented technologies for environmental protection and the restoration of natural systems, developments in the field of additive biotechnology.
