President Vladimir Putin: Your Majesty, distinguished colleagues, allow me to wish you a warm welcome to Moscow. I have very good recollections of our first meeting in Brunei in 2000 and our subsequent meetings at various international events. We have met on more than one occasion.
Your Majesty, above all, I would like to thank you for supporting Russia’s application to join the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, where we have received the status of observer.
I also want to say that we plan to continue our participation in various regional organisations. What’s more, we want not just to participate but also to increase our presence there and expand our cooperation with the countries of the region.
