President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr Pashinyan,
We meet regularly, and I am very happy to have this opportunity to talk once again on the sidelines of today’s event about the current situation on a bilateral plane and on the regional aspects that we discussed in such detail during our previous meeting in Moscow.
I am very happy to see you.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan: Thank you, Mr Putin.
To begin with, I would like to congratulate you on the upcoming holiday – Russia Day – and wish well-being to the Russian Federation.
Yes, indeed, we meet regularly and discuss a broad range of issues. Today, we will also discuss both bilateral and regional matters.
I believe that today we will also review the situation in the Russian peacekeeper zone of responsibility in Nagorno-Karabakh. Unfortunately, the humanitarian situation remains difficult there. Nagorno-Karabakh has had no gas or electricity for months. The situation in the Lachin corridor remains strained. By the way, I must emphasise that food is now delivered to Nagorno-Karabakh with the help of the Russian peacekeepers, but this is a limited amount of food. Overall, the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh continues, and this is also a very important issue. I am sure we will discuss it today.
Vladimir Putin: Certainly.
