Official visit to Tajikistan. Anniversary CIS Summit

During the talks, Dmitry Medvedev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon discussed cooperation in trade, the economy, military technology and the humanitarian sphere. Following the consultations, several documents on bilateral cooperation were signed.

In addition, a quadripartite meeting took place in Dushanbe between President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The following day the anniversary CIS Summit took place in the capital of Tajikistan. After the meeting, the participants adopted a package of documents on cooperation within the CIS and the agreement to perpetuate the memory of the Commonwealth nations who participated in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Dmitry Medvedev also met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Russian-Tajikistani talks on bilateral economic, trade, military technical and humanitarian cooperation have taken place in Dushanbe. Issues on the regional and international agendas were also discussed.


Second day

Anniversary CIS Summit took place in Tajik capital

The CIS leaders took stock of 20 years of cooperation. After the talks, CIS heads of state adopted a package of documents on cooperation within the CIS, as well as an agreement to perpetuate the memory of the Commonwealth nations that fought in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
