Visit to Japan

Vladimir Putin made a two-day working visit to Japan.

The first round of Russian-Japanese summit talks was held in Nagato, the home city of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

On the second day, the Russian and Japanese leaders continued consultations in the expanded format. Many documents were signed following the talks. The President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Japan made statements for the press and answered questions from journalists. Vladimir Putin and Shinzo Abe also attended a plenary session of the Russian-Japanese business forum and visited the Kodokan Centre of martial arts, where they enjoyed a judo demonstration.
