Trip to Crimea and Sevastopol
During his working trip to Crimea, Vladimir Putin met with public figures, scientists and cultural workers of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. During the meeting, the head of state noted, in particular, the need for a more vigorous restoration of cultural institutions in Sevastopol and Crimea. He also met with Acting Governor of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov.
In addition, the head of state visited the Kazachya Bukhta educational center in Sevastopol, and paid tribute to the memory of the city’s defenders; he visited the Tauric Chersonese (Khersones Tavrishesky) State Museum and Reserve, where he was updated on the plans for the further development of the complex and attended the Opera in Chersonese international music festival.
On the following day, Vladimir Putin visited thematic exhibitions at the Tavrida National Youth Educational Forum, where he had an informal conversation with the organisers and participants. The head of state also visited an international jazz festival.
