Visit to Austria

During his working visit to Austria, the President of Russia held talks with Federal President of the Republic of Austria Alexander van der Bellen and Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

Vladimir Putin also attended a meeting of the Russian-Austrian Business Council dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first Russian gas delivery to Austria.

The President of Russia also laid a wreath at the monument to Soviet soldiers who fell while liberating Austria from the Nazis.

Towards the end of the visit, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Van der Bellen visited the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts), where they opened an exhibition titled “Old Masters from the Hermitage.”
