On February 6, 2013 President Putin will get acquainted with preparations for the mountain cluster’s facilities.
In particular, the President will visit the Mountain Carousel sports and holiday complex, which includes RusSki Gorki Jumping Centre, the media village, the Laura Cross-Country Ski and Biathlon Centre, Sanki Olympic Sliding Centre for bobsleigh and luge, and Rosa Khutor mountain ski centre.
Mr Putin will meet International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission Chairman Jean-Claude Killy and IOC Executive Director for the Olympic Games Gilbert Felli. The participants will exchange their opinions on the current state of preparations for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

On February 7 Vladimir Putin will inspect the facilities of the coastal cluster in the Imeretin Valley, some of which are operational and others under construction.
It is planned that the President will visit the Olympic Village that is being constructed, the main media centre, the Adler Arena indoor skating centre, the Ice Cube curling centre, and the small and large ice hockey rinks.
At the end of this two-day inspection President Putin will hold a meeting On the State of Preparations for the 2014 XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. Meeting participants will discuss the social, engineering and transport infrastructure that has been built in Sochi, holding competitions in designated facilities prior to the Olympics, the organisation of the Olympic Games themselves, and hosting athletes and guests.
Vladimir Putin will also take part in the ceremony to be held in the Bolshoy Ice Dome to commemorate exactly one year that remains to the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. The ceremony will launch a 365-day countdown to the opening of Russia’s first ever Winter Games. The programme includes the official launch of the Sochi 2014 ticket sales, the ceremonial invitation of representatives of national Olympic committees to Sochi’s Olympic Games, as well as an ice show.
