The President will begin his visit in Gyumri, where he will meet with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, visit the 102nd Russian military base, and take part in the third Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum.
Mr Putin will then go to Yerevan to take part in a Russian-Armenian summit. On the agenda are key issues in bilateral cooperation, including in trade and the economy and in the cultural and humanitarian area.
An exchange of views is planned on implementation of the agreements reached during Mr Sargsyan’s visit to Moscow on September 3, and also on the next steps in Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
A number of joint agreements will be signed following the talks.
