On October 4, Vladimir Putin will attend the plenary meeting of the first Russian Energy Week Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum to be held from October 3 to 7 in Moscow and St Petersburg.
The main theme of the forum’s agenda is Energy for Global Growth. The topics to be discussed include the global energy agenda, main trends in the fuel and energy sector, and the current challenges in the energy sphere.
Participants include representatives of major global energy companies and organisations, as well as leading international experts.
Nearly 50 business events will be held as part of the official programme, including panel discussions, the Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, a mayoral meeting on energy efficiency and sustainable development, roundtables, and business dialogues.
On the same day, the President of Russia will meet with President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, who will pay a working visit to Russia, including in order to attend Russian Energy Week Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum.
During the talks, the leaders plan to discuss issues related to promoting the two countries’ strategic partnership in various areas. An exchange of views will be held on topical international and regional matters.
Vladimir Putin will also address a gala evening dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the launch of the world’s first artificial Earth satellite.
