The two leaders discussed a number of topical issues in bilateral relations, including the current state of and prospects for further developing the legal framework for the two countries’ cooperation, especially military and military technology cooperation. They confirmed their shared understanding of the importance of further enhancing joint efforts in priority fields of the Russian-Tajikistani partnership.
Dmitry Medvedev and Emomali Rahmon also exchanged opinions on the regional agenda and integration, with a view to developing collaboration and mutually beneficial cooperation in the regional associations to which both Russia and Tajikistan belong (the CIS, EurAsEC, CSTO, and SCO).
