Born on May 28, 1969, in Ryazan.
1990: graduated from the Marshal Zakharov Higher Military Command School of Communications in Ryazan. 1998: graduated from the Moscow Institute of Economics, Management and Law. 2000: graduated from the State Academy of Management, and the Department of Retraining. 2005: completed advanced training at the General Staff Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Served in command positions within the Airborne Troops, as well as the KGB troops, took part in combat operations.
