Vladimir Putin visited Beijing where
he took part in celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japan and the end of World War II.
Within the framework of his working
visit to China, the Russian President held talks with China’s President Xi
Jinping, following which a package of documents was signed on cooperation
between the two countries in various areas. Mr Putin also discussed
Russian-Chinese cooperation with China’s State Council Premier Li Keqiang.
The Russian President also met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman,
President of Laos Choummaly Sayasone and President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro,
who also arrived in Beijing for celebrations.
