The President noted that the Government is currently developing a new system of mutual relations with pharmaceutical companies, designed to do without forced intermediary services and move to a practice of long-term agreements.
In the new conditions, suppliers of medical preparations will be selected through auctions. The Russian President noted that the main goal of reforming the pharmaceutical market is reducing prices on medicine and expanding the selection available. The Russian Government will allocate $2 billion for these goals.
Mr Putin advised Indian entrepreneurs to make applications to take part in these contests. The Russian President’s proposal was met favourably.
