The sides exchanged views on bilateral Russian-Omani cooperation, which has received fresh impetus following a meeting between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said held in April 2025.
Magomedsalam Magomedov informed his counterpart about Russia’s system of promoting interethnic and interfaith accord, the goals and priorities of the State National Policy Strategy, which is being implemented, and the activities of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations. He noted the friendly nature of international relations, the growing economic cooperation, interaction with Arab states in the context of promoting the principles of a multipolar world order, and the fact that these countries have not joined the anti-Russia sanctions despite pressure from the West.
Mohammed Bin Said Bin Khalfan Al Mamari pointed out several promising spheres where Russia and Oman can actively develop cooperation, stated that Russian citizens in Oman enjoy all the rights and freedoms stipulated by local legislation and international law, and expressed gratitude for the thorough preparation and the packed programme of the Omani delegation’s visit to Russia.
The sides exchanged views on the practical aspects of interfaith and interethnic activities, as well as interaction between the authorities and religious and ethnic associations of citizens.
