Mr Putin recalled his first meeting with Mr Kohl 12 years ago and noted that the points Mr Kohl formulated at that time about future cooperation between Russia and Germany are now becoming reality.
Mr Kohl expressed his satisfaction with the way Russian-German relations are developing. These positive relations, he said, are of great benefit to Russia, Germany and to the entire world.
