A military parade took place on Red Square in Moscow to mark the sixty-third anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev greeted the war veterans, participants in the parade and guests at the event and congratulated all of Russia’s people on the Victory Day holiday.
Later, a reception celebrating the sixty-third anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place at the State Kremlin Palace.
