Vladimir Putin once again thanked Alexander Lukashenko for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him during his visit to Minsk on May 24. Both presidents stressed that the results of highest-level talks had provided a powerful impetus to further advancement of Russian-Belarusian multifaceted relations of strategic partnership and alliance.
They also discussed certain issues related to the SCO summit scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan in July of this year. The meeting participants are expected to adopt a decision on conferring the status of SCO member state on Belarus.
The leaders agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
