President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Greetings!
You may know from the media that whenever I go to the regions, I try to meet with businesspeople, if possible, to hear from them how things are going and to see if there are issues or problems. Direct, uninhibited, and informal conversation is the best feedback you can get.
We have senior executives here as well, such as the Acting Governor, the Minister of Economic Development, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Industry, who will also benefit from listening to what you have to say.
Therefore, I propose conducting the meeting in a straightforward manner: I would like to hear what you think about the situation in the economy and your business. We will be pleased to take your questions, which you no doubt have, and hear your thoughts with regard to what could be done additionally to improve the situation.
I do not need to say much about Novgorod, which is one of the pillars of our statehood, a city with great and remarkable history, which is also beautiful and impressive, with intelligent and active people and hopefully a bright future. However, there are issues, and they have numerous angles, and I am sure you will talk about them as well. It will be my pleasure to listen to what you have to share.
